The GBJT Grading Day for New Players will be held at the Queensland Tennis Centre at Tennyson on Sunday 12 February 2017. GBJT has access to Two undercover courts in the event of extreme weather conditions. Looking forward to seeing all our new players on Sunday.
Season 1, 2017 GBJT Grading Day for new players will be held between 3pm and 5pm on Sunday 12 February at the Queensland Tennis Centre at Tennyson. All new players welcome and Enquiries to admin@gbjt.org.au. Enrolments for Season 1 close on the 12 February.

Season 1, 2017 will run from the 25th February to the 10th June and enrolments will open on the GBJT website at the beginning of January 2017. Enrolments for the next season will close on the 11th February. Players who have played this season will not need to attend the Grading day for the next season.

What an wonderful and exciting Finals Day!
Despite a storm hitting QTC, most matches had played sufficient sets for a result and it did not stop us celebrating another great season with the tennis, family BBQ, drinks and presentations.
Well done to all our players on the day and throughout the season! It is amazing to see how much everyone has improved and most importantly, the good sportsmanship and enjoyment had by all.

This Saturday, 12th November, the GBJT Finals and the Best of the Rest matches will be played at the Queensland Tennis Centre at Tennyson.
The matches will start at the earlier time of 1:00 pm.
The Presentation of Awards and Trophies will start about 4:30 pm

Despite overcast skies and a cool morning, our 2016 doubles tournament commenced early with over 55 players competing. It was a great mornings tennis with many close games and sets on the day. Great sportsmanship and fun had by all. Congratulations to all who played and our winners and runners-up on the day. Results below.
The annual GBJT Doubles Tournament will be held on Sunday, 23rd October at the University of Queensland Tennis Centre at St Lucia, starting at 8:00am and finishing by 12:00 noon.
This tournament is only for 2016 GBJT players and is a great opportunity for players to improve their doubles skills and enjoy some friendly competition. The tournament has a round robin format and each level will have a trophy for the Winner and the Runner-up.
Players can find their own partners from their level or can write "PARTNER REQUIRED" on the nomination form and we will organise a partner for them from their level. The cost of entry is $20 per player.
Entry forms will also be available at fixtures on Saturday and may be returned by handing in to the GBJT Centre Supervisor on Saturday or by email or post.

GBJT Season 2 tennis fixtures commenced on Saturday. We trust all our players and parents enjoyed the day and we look forward to welcoming our players who were on bye this coming Saturday. Have a great season of tennis.
Welcome to Season 2, 2016 of Greater Brisbane Junior Tennis Association. The first round of fixtures will start on Saturday, 13th August and the team draws and information will be sent out later this week.
Entries for Season 2, 2016 are now closed. Team draws and information will be emailed to Players and Parents before the first week of fixtures.
The Season 2, 2016 grading day for new players will be held on Sunday 24 July at the Queensland Tennis Centre between 3pm and 5pm.

Unfortunately, we are sorry to say that due to the wet weather, the GBJT Season 1, 2016 Finals Day is cancelled and no matches will be played. GBJT is not able to postpone the Finals to a future date due to unavailability of courts. When a Finals Day is not able to be completed due to bad weather, trophies are awarded to teams, on the basis of their position at Week 9 of Fixtures. As a result, the Team Winners, Runners-Up, Best of the Rest, Most Improved, Sportsmanship as well as the Singles Tournament winners are set out below.
Peter and Peta will be at UQ Tennis Centre from 12 noon to 2pm today to present the trophies and prizes to our players. If you believe it is safe to do so, please feel free to attend UQ to collect between 12noon and 2pm today. If you are unable to, we will arrange for these to be collected in July.
Season 1, 2016 Finals Day will be held on Saturday 4 June at the University of Queensland. The starting time for Finals Day is 1pm.
At the conclusion of play (around 4:30pm), we will be holding the presentation of Trophies, Sportsmanship and Most Improved Awards as well as the raffle.
A Free Family BBQ for all players, siblings and parents, grandparents will be held during the afternoon.
