The annual GBJT Singles tournament will be held at the University of Queensland Tennis Centre Sunday 24 May 2015 for GBJT Players.  The singles tournament will be held from 8am to 12 noon and in round robin format.  Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up and include the annual pepetual singles trophy for each leave.  Entries close 20 May 2015.  Saint Lucy Cafe will be open for Breakfast, Bruch and Lunch for your enjoyment.

The GBJT Annual General Meeting will be held at UQ Tennis Centre on 21 March 2015 at 4pm.  This will be followed by a Committee Meeting.  Anyone interested in attending are welcome to attend.

We trust our Players and Parents are enjoying the first few weeks of GBJT fixtures and we are looking forward to an enjoyable season.  Any questions or concerns, please let the Centre Supervisor know or Peter and Peta.  

Entires for Season 1, 2015 are now closed.  We are currently in the process of preparing teams and draws which should be emailed out to all players and Parents at the beginning of next week.

GBJT Season 1 2015 Grading Day for New Players will be held on Sunday 8 February at the Queensland Tennis Centre, Tennyson between 3pm and 5pm.  On-Line enrolments can be completed prior to grading day.

GBJT is holding a Family Fun Day on Saturday, 22nd November 2014 at UQ Tennis Centre from 3pm to 5pm!  All GBJT players and family members are welcome to join us for some social tennis.  Towards the conclusion of play, we will have some food and drinks catered by Saint Lucy Cafe to celebrate the day and season.  More details will be emailed out shortly.

The end of season raffle was drawn at the presentation with some great prizes on offer.  Our raffle winners on the day were:

GBJT Season 2, 2014 Finals Day was held Saturday 8 November.  It was great to see how many close matches determined the results on the day!  We had many players and spectators cheering on our finialists and the sportsmanship and enjoyment by all was clearly on display.  Our family BBQ and drinks were well received and the presentation of trophies, sportsmanship and most improved awards was held at the conclusion of play.  A special thank you to all our parents who helped out during the season and on finals day, this is a big part of what makes GBJT a special club.  We also acknowledge the support of our sponsors (Head Sporting Products, Tennis Queensland, Brisbane International, QTC, UQ Sports and Saint Lucy Cafe) who make such great prizes and awards available to our players.

With 240 juniors playing this season, we trust everyone enjoyed the first week of GBJT tennis fixtures and look forward to welcoming the players who were on bye this week. 

A few important messages and reminders for both Players and Parents.  Sportsmanship is an important aspect of GBJT tennis and it is a requirement that all players demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.  The umpires call is final and not to be questioned by the players.  Parents to remain outside courts.

The GBJT Season 2, 2014 Grading Day for New Players will be held between 3pm to 5pm on Sunday 27 July 2014 at the Queensland Tennis Centre.  Completion of the enrolment form on line before arrival  will allow for a more timely grading.  Looking forward to meeting our new Players and Parents.

Our Season 1, 2014 finals day was held at the Queensland Tennis Centre, Tennyson on Saturday 31 May.  It was a great day with many close matches to determine the outcome for the season.  The quality of the play was great to see as well as the sportsmanship on display.  Our Pennant Red players enjoyed the opportunity to play out their final on Pat Rafter Arena with the Galaxies winning by just 2 games.  We also had some teams playing on the clay courts which was very timely with the French Open on at present!

Our Players and Parents enjoyed the BBQ and at 4.30 we held the presentation of trophies including the singles tournament perpetual trophies and our awards for Sportsmanship and Most Improved Players.  This was followed by the drawing of the raffle.  A special thank you to our sponsors who provide a number of these prizes the players enjoy.  Full details of the Seasons results are below.

The Annual GBJT Singles Tournament was held on Sunday 25 May on a perfect autums day.  With over 75 players competing in the event, we had some great matches and very close scores to determine our winners and runners up on the day.  We thank all our players who competed on the day and enjoyed some strong competition. A special thank you to our parents who helped out during the day.  Trophies were presented to our winners and runners up at the conclusion of each event and the winner of each level will be presented with the engraved perpetual trophy at the finals day presentation.

GBJT Season 1 Semi-Fianls will be played on Saturday 24 May 2014 and Finals Day will be held on 31 May 2014.  Details of these days were emailed out to Captains and Players and are set out below:

All finals matches will be played at the Queensland Tennis Centre and play starts at 1pm.   A free family BBQ and drinks will be available during the afternoon and at the conclusion of play (around 4.30pm), the presentation of trophies, awards and raffle will be held.  We encourage all out families and firends to attend the finals day to enjoy some great tennis and family BBQ. 

A reminder our GBJT Annual Singles Tournament (GBJT members only) is to be held on 25 May 2014 at UQ Tennis Centre.  Play starts at 8am (please arrive at 7.45am and courts available for practice from 7.30am) and concludes at 12 noon.  We wish all our players well in the tournamnet.
